Raising the bar for no budget horror…

Amityvillenado is an entirely DIY production shot in forty days spread over nine months. What started out as an experimental project meant to be shot over a weekend, quickly evolved into something much more ambitious. Days and weeks between filming were focused on writing script pages and editing as production went along. The majority of the films locations were homes, apartments, and business that belonged to friends of the production. This process and good will from our friends allowed us to keep expenses low and creative freedom high.

What sets Amityvillenado apart from other no-budget features is its strong ties to the New Orleans punk rock music scene. We're proud to share that the vast majority of our cast and crew hail from local punk bands, including Joystick, Pears, Brat, Rich Octopus, Flying Raccoon Suit, Kawaii AF, and many others. The soundtrack reflects that spirit, packed from start to finish with tracks from the best alternative bands in New Orleans.
